What We Offer

Professional counselling for the challenges that matter most

Life does not always go the way we plan. Sometimes the weight of what we are carrying becomes too much to manage alone. Ease Consultancy offers professional, accredited counselling and psychotherapy across a wide range of concerns, delivered in a way that is tailored to you.

Yunus Mohamed MBACP (Accred) has been supporting individuals, couples, and families through some of life’s hardest moments for over 22 years. Whatever you are facing, you do not have to face it without support.

Our Approach to Every Service

Every service, the same commitment

Regardless of what brings you to Ease Consultancy, certain things will always be true about how Yunus works. Sessions are strictly confidential. There is no judgement. You set the pace. And the goal is always the same: to help you understand yourself better and move towards a life that feels more manageable, more meaningful, and more yours.

Yunus holds BACP Accredited Membership No. 395537, the highest individual membership standard awarded by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. All sessions are conducted in full compliance with the BACP Ethical Framework.

Areas of support

Support for life's hardest moments

Stress and Depression

Anxiety, stress, and depression are among the most common reasons people seek counselling, and among the most misunderstood. They can show up as constant worry, physical tension, difficulty sleeping, low mood, loss of motivation, or a creeping sense that something is wrong without quite knowing what.

Yunus works with clients to understand what is driving these feelings rather than simply managing the symptoms. That might mean exploring patterns of thinking, examining life pressures, or uncovering experiences from the past that are still influencing how you respond today.

Sessions draw on cognitive behavioural approaches, mindfulness techniques, and person-centred exploration, always shaped around what is most useful for you specifically.

If you have been struggling for a while or have only recently noticed a change, both are valid reasons to reach out.

Bereavement and Loss

Grief is not linear, and it does not follow a timetable. The loss of a loved one, the end of a relationship, a miscarriage, the loss of a career or identity, these are all forms of grief that deserve to be taken seriously.

Yunus provides a steady, unhurried space where you can process loss at your own pace. He does not push you towards acceptance or suggest that you should be feeling differently than you are. Grief is personal. The work is personal too.

Many clients who come for bereavement support find that what they most needed was simply to speak honestly about the person or the thing they lost, without worrying about how it lands on the person listening. That space is here.

Trauma and PTSD

Trauma can take many forms. A single distressing event, a prolonged period of abuse or neglect, or years of accumulated experiences that individually might have seemed manageable but together have left a lasting mark.

Post-traumatic stress disorder is one possible outcome of trauma, but not the only one. Many people carry the effects of trauma without ever having received that diagnosis. The signs can include hypervigilance, intrusive memories, emotional numbness, difficulty trusting others, or a persistent sense of danger even in safe environments.

Yunus is a trauma-informed therapist. That means the entire approach to sessions, the pace, the language, the way difficult material is introduced, is shaped around keeping you safe and in control. You will never be pushed to revisit something before you are ready.

Addiction and Recovery

Addiction rarely exists on its own. Behind it, there is usually pain, avoidance, unmet need, or a coping mechanism that once helped and has since taken on a life of its own. Understanding that does not excuse the behaviour, but it does make meaningful recovery possible.

Yunus works with clients at all stages of their relationship with addiction, whether they are still using and considering change, partway through recovery and finding it harder than expected, or in a stable place but wanting to understand the roots of what happened.

Sessions are non-judgemental and focused on sustainable change rather than short-term fixes. Ease Consultancy does not operate as a clinical detox or rehabilitation service, but works alongside those processes as a therapeutic support.

Anger Management

Anger is a normal human emotion. It becomes a problem when it is disproportionate, difficult to control, or causing damage to your relationships, your career, or your own sense of who you are.

Counselling for anger is not about suppressing how you feel. It is about understanding where the anger comes from, what it is responding to, and developing more effective ways of expressing and channelling it.

Yunus has worked with clients for whom anger has cost them relationships, employment, and self-respect. The work is honest, patient, and grounded in real behavioural and emotional insight.

Relationships and Marital Difficulties

Relationships bring some of life's greatest meaning and some of its greatest pain. Breakdown in communication, trust issues, infidelity, growing apart, cultural or family pressures, and differences in values or expectations can all put significant strain on a partnership.

Yunus works with couples and with individuals who are navigating difficult relationship situations. You do not both need to come. Individual sessions exploring relationship dynamics can be just as valuable as couples work, and sometimes more appropriate depending on the circumstances.

Sessions focus on honest communication, understanding patterns of behaviour, and helping both people clarify what they actually want, from the relationship and from each other.

ADHD and Behavioural Challenges

A diagnosis of ADHD, or the suspicion of one, can raise significant questions about identity, capability, and the way a person has experienced school, work, and relationships up to that point.

Counselling for ADHD is not a substitute for medical assessment or medication where that is appropriate. What it offers is a space to make sense of your experience, develop practical strategies for the areas where ADHD creates the most difficulty, and address any emotional fallout, such as low self-worth or anxiety, that has built up over time.

Yunus also works with parents of children presenting with behavioural challenges, offering support and practical guidance for families navigating these situations.

Workplace and Career Difficulties

Work occupies a significant portion of most people's lives. When it goes wrong, whether through burnout, conflict with a manager, redundancy, a loss of direction, or simply feeling unfulfilled, the impact extends well beyond office hours.

Counselling for workplace difficulties helps you separate the practical from the emotional, understand your own patterns and responses, and make clearer decisions about what you want and what needs to change.

Yunus works with clients dealing with workplace stress, imposter syndrome, career transitions, and the aftermath of redundancy or dismissal.

Life Transitions and Personal Development

Not every reason to seek counselling is a crisis. Major life transitions, such as moving to a new country, becoming a parent, retiring, ending a long-term relationship, or simply reaching a point where the life you have built no longer feels right, can all benefit from a space for honest reflection.

Counselling during periods of transition is not about finding answers quickly. It is about slowing down enough to understand what is happening and what you actually want from the next chapter.

Domestic Abuse and Safeguarding

Domestic abuse takes many forms: physical, emotional, financial, and coercive control. It can happen in any kind of relationship and it can be extremely difficult to identify when you are inside the situation.

Yunus provides a safe, confidential space for individuals affected by domestic abuse. Sessions focus on helping clients understand their experiences, regain a sense of safety and agency, and where appropriate, think through their options.

Ease Consultancy takes safeguarding seriously and operates within the legal and ethical framework set out by the BACP and UK law. In situations where there is a risk to life, the usual conditions of confidentiality may need to be reconsidered. This is always discussed openly and honestly with clients from the outset.

Young Adult and Family Issues

Young adulthood brings its own distinct set of pressures. Identity, relationships, academic or career expectations, social media, mental health, and the experience of navigating the gap between who a person is and who those around them expect them to be.

Yunus has worked in school and community settings and has extensive experience supporting younger clients. Sessions are adapted to feel appropriate for the individual rather than following a one-size-fits-all model.

Not sure where to start?

You do not need to have the right words yet

Many clients arrive at their first session unsure of exactly what they are dealing with or how to describe it. That is completely normal. The process of naming and understanding what you are going through is part of the work, not a prerequisite for it.

If you are unsure which service applies to your situation, simply get in touch. Yunus will have a brief conversation with you and together you can work out the most useful place to begin.
